Post Malone treated in hospital after falling through stage trap door

Post Malone took an awkward tumble during his concert when he fell through a stage trap door. He had to be treated in hospital for his injuries.

Musician Post Malone had to be ferried off stage by medics after he fell and injured himself during a concert in the US city of St. Louis.

Malone was in the middle of performing his hit track Circles when he stumbled as the ground gave out beneath him. According to Deadline, he laid on the stage for several minutes as medics rushed to help.

He was helped off stage, walking, but told the crowd he’d be back.

He returned 15 minutes later and finished a shortened set. He reportedly winced in pain at times and clutched at his ribs.

Malone later took to Twitter and issued an apology to his fans in a video. He revealed he presented to hospital afterwards where he was treated for his injuries.

Malone said, “Love you guys so much, thank you for the patience, thank you for putting up with my dumb a*se.

“Whenever we do the acoustic part of the show, the guitars and the guitar stands, they go down and there’s this big a*se hole, so I go around there, I turn the corner and bust my a*se and it got me pretty good.

“We just got back from the hospital. Everything’s good. They gave me some pain meds and we can keep kicking a*se on the tour.

“I just want to apologise to everyone in St Louis and I want to say thank you guys so much for coming to the show and I want to say that next time we come this way, we’re going to do a two-hour show for you so we can make up for the couple of missed songs we missed.

“Thank you for your support and thank you for your love and thanks for hanging around even though I got my a*se kicked by myself. I love you guys so much. Have a great night. Thank you, St Louis.”

Malone had previously made headlines when he fell over onstage during a 2020 concert in Nashville, during the song I Fall Apart. His management later insisted the antics were part of the show.

Malone currently has another 38 dates on his touring calendar including Australia where he is due to perform in February in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

The New York-born, Texas-raised rapper and singer most recently released the album Twelve Carat Toothache.
