NICK Jonas was offered $A2.6 million for a one-off performance but turned it down.
According to TMZ, the 23-year-old singer was asked by the Republican National Committee to perform a free concert in Cleveland to thank the city for hosting their recent convention.
Jonas would have been paid by a private donor but he passed on the huge payday because he had an existing appearance already scheduled in New York.
Jonas isn’t the only young star who turned down big bucks to perform for the Republican National Committee.
TMZ also revealed that Justin Bieber was offered $A6.5 million to perform for 45 minutes during the Republican convention.
The Sorry singer was reportedly keen but eventually said no to the deal after his long-time manager, Scooter Braun, said he’d stop working with Bieber if he went ahead with the performance.
Braun is a Hillary Clinton supporter who has even hosted a fundraiser for the Democratic candidate at his home in Los Angeles.
