She is currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of her debut album Left Of The Middle with a UK tour which she is expected to bring to Australia next year.

Imbruglia loves springing surprises herself, having kept secret her cameo with Holly Valance for the Neighbours finale.

Bocelli has a history of shaking things up with his special guests, inviting Pussycat Doll and solo pop star Nicole Scherzinger to join him at his recent London arena concert.

The Italian operatic superstar will also reunite with Australia’s queen of the big gig Delta Goodrem for two winery concerts on the tour.

Goodrem absolutely wowed Bocelli fans when she performed a handful of songs including Can’t Help Falling in Love and Time to Say Goodbye (Con te partirò) with him during his 2014 tour here.

“One of the proudest moments in my career on stage in my home town singing with the greatest tenor in the world @andreabocelliofficial,” Goodrem shared with fans online after her performance.

Bocelli’s children Virginia and Matteo, who also sing on his upcoming A Family Christmas album, join the star-studded line-up.

The tenor, who has sold more than 80 million albums, has a good reading on his audience here and likes to play the hometown card for his Australian fans.

In addition to pop stars Imbruglia and Goodrem, he has booked stunning Australian sopranos Amy Manford and Stacey Alleaume for the concerts.

“I truly appreciate my generous and engaged Australian fanbase and am proud to be even a small part of the soundtrack to so many people’s lives,” he said when he announced the October tour.

Bocelli’s first tour in Australia in eight years will kick off at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on October 25 before heading to Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on October 27, the Hope Estate, Hunter Valley on October 29, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on November 2 and the Sandalford Estate in Perth on November 5.
