Australian rapper Kid Laroi has taken to leaking texts on social media after disappointing fans with yet more cancellations.

Australian rapper Kid Laroi has leaked texts from his doctor after he was forced to axe numerous shows due to sickness.

The star took to Instagram to share screenshots of his team’s discussion about whether he could perform shows in LA, Phoenix and Denver.

“It absolutely kills me to say this but unfortunately this morning I woke up feeling like complete s**t and tested positive for COVID along with a bunch of crew members,” he wrote.

“I’ve tried everything in my power to make this show happen tonight and asked if there was a way we could do the show safely and I would push through.”

He then shared screenshots of his manager’s conversation with a doctor, who urged the star not to take to the stage.

“Do you think he should do the show? Can you get the people to juice him up to do the show?” the team member wrote.

“Nope,” the doctor replied. He is sick as a dog. It will not go well and it will look BAD. And his voice is trashed. You will get a short term, but potentially bad for the next two weeks.”

The Kid’s post continued: “I was strongly advised by my doctor to not do so for not only the safety of you guys but also because of the long term damage it could cause to my voice.”

It’s not the first time the rapper has cancelled or delayed shows.

Last December, the ARIA winner was due to kick off his The First Time Tour in February, where he was scheduled to perform in Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and the Gold Coast, but he ended up pushing the shows back until October 2024.

“Hi guys. We’ve had to push back the Australian leg of the tour to October,” he wrote on Instagram Stories overnight.

“The tour will now end off in Australia.”

The rapper, whose real name is Charlton Howard, said the delay was due to logistics beyond his control.

“I have a really big surprise and special guest that we just couldn’t finalise in time for February, among a bunch of other logistical stuff,” he added.

“I wanna give you the best show that I possibly can and make everyone back home proud. I promise that it will be worth it, and I will keep you guys posted on the special guests and everything else that is to come.”
