The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber bromance has stepped up from pop powerhouse duo to “family”.

The 17-year-old Australian pop prince and his TikTok star girlfriend Katarina Deme were guests of Bieber and his wife Hailey at a black-tie charity art exhibition in Los Angeles as their dynamite collaboration Stay continued to hold its No. 1 spot on the ARIA charts.

Both artists shared a photo of the stylish quartet on their socials captioned “Family”.

The pair became mates earlier this year when Bieber tapped the emerging Australian star to guest on Unstable, a track on his Justice record.

They teamed up again on Stay, the lead track from Laroi’s F*ck Love 3 album which is shooting for a No. 1 debut here this week.

And now they share management with Laroi announcing last month he had signed with controversial entrepreneur Scooter Braun, the man who discovered Bieber on YouTube and also steers the careers of Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and J Balvin.

The awesome pop foursome were snapped at Bieber’s Freedom Art Experience event where Usher and other well-heeled entertainment types bought modern artworks to raise funds for a children’s charity.

Bieber looked stylish in a black tux from Saint Laurent and his model wife Hailey stunned in an Alessandra Rich velvet and lace floor-length gown.

Laroi and Deme recently celebrated their one-year anniversary as a couple, with the Australian teenager posting his devotion to the TikTok personality with “One year with you and I’m happier than ever. Time flies kid.”

INSIDE STAY’S SUCCESS

Australia’s global pop prince The Kid Laroi nailed his first No.1 debut single with the assistance of his budding musical bromance with superstar Justin Bieber.

Their joint effort Stay is one of the biggest music collaborations of the year, generating almost three million streams in Australia and more than 60 million globally since its release last week.

The single’s success comes ahead of his new record F*ck Love 3 on July 23.

“It’s Laroi just checking in to say thank you so, so, so much to all my fans in Australia for making Stay go No.1 in my home country,” the 17-year-old chart-topper said in a video to fans.

“I f … in’ love every single one of you guys and I miss you and I can’t wait to come back.”

It is his second No.1 single on the ARIA charts with Without You rising to the top spot in May after it was re-released as a remix featuring Miley Cyrus.

Stay is the second time Laroi has worked with Bieber, appearing on the track Unstable from the superstar’s chart-topping Justice record, released in March.

The Kid Laroi, known as Charlton Howard on his passport, announced last month he had signed with Bieber’s longtime manager Scooter Braun, the music entrepreneur and investor who acquired the rights to Taylor Swift’s first six records when he bought the Big Machine label.

Stay ventures into EDM territory with an 80s vibe and was almost guaranteed a big chart debut in Australia where music fans embrace a well-placed F bomb in a song – and this one has several of them.

Laroi isn’t the only Australian with credits on the track.

Perth hip hop production and songwriting duo FnZ – Michael “Finatik” Mule and Isaac “Zac” De Boni, who have worked with Kanye West, Drake, A$AP Rocky – worked on the hit-in-waiting.

American hitmaker and pop star Charlie Puth was also involved.

Laroi has amassed more than one billion streams for his music since breaking worldwide with the single Let Her Go in 2019.

The 17-year-old Australian and 27-year-old Canadian’s slam dunk to No.1 knocked Ed Sheeran’s comeback single off the top spots after two weeks.

The Kid Laroi has had Bieber on speed dial for mentoring since the pair met this year, with their first “conversation” happening when the Australian was in the shower.

“He asked for my number and I am in the shower thinking I hope this guy doesn’t call me while I’m in the shower … and he calls me,” Laroi told Fitzy and Wippa.

“I answered ‘Hey man, I’m in the shower.’ And he’s like ‘That’s hilarious. I am going to send you a song for us.’”

Laroi is also be celebrating topping the leaderboard with Sycco and Baker Boy with three nominations for the 2021 National Indigenous Music Awards, announced this week.

Those artists alongside Birdz, Miiesha and Jessica Mauboy are up for the Artist of the Year prize at the NIMAs which will be held in Darwin on August 7.
