One of the world’s biggest DJs and a freestyling female rapper are set to fill a Covid-sized void for dance and hip hop fans at a massive outdoor festival.

One of the world’s biggest DJ’s will kickstart Melbourne’s summer music festival season with his first local performances in four years.
Calvin Harris will headline Festival X at Flemington Racecourse on November 26, alongside American rapper Megan Thee Stallion
The dance, techno and rap festival is the brainchild of promoters Hardware and OneLove and is also being backed by touring giant Live Nation.
It is the first national touring festival announced for next summer. with Melbourne the first stop before it heads to the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Sydney and Perth.
Harris, who used to date Taylor Swift and Ellie Goulding, is releasing his fifth album Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2 later this year.
He last played in Australia in 2019 and is known for his hits Feel So Close, My Way and Summer.
Stallion, real name Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, is making her first visit to Australia and got her big breakout moment on Cardi B’s worldwide smash W.A.P.
More than 20 other local and international acts are on the line-up including Russian DJ Nina Kraviz and German producer Boyz Noise.
Kraviz was recently dropped from three festivals in the US and Europe for her perceived support of Russian president Vladimir Putin on social media.
