Congratulations are in order for pop star Delta Goodrem and her guitarist partner Matthew Copley who have announced their engagement.
Goodrem shared the news with her adoring fans via social media on Thursday.
“My best friend asked me to marry him,” she wrote, sharing a beautiful photo of the pair embracing.
She also posted a video of the big sunset moment with a string section playing Your Song in the background, petals strewn across the grass and a dazzling enormous diamond ring.
The Born To Try pop superstar and the musician have been dating since 2017, who had joined her band.
Goodrem has been staunch about keeping their romance private after several high profile relationships and break-ups.
“It’s incredible to be on stage with him because he’s so talented. We really are a team. He’s my best friend, he’s kind and just a beautiful human being,” she said when their relationship became public.
But she has shone a light on the behind-the-scenes of their working relationship with fans via posts performing or on the road.
They are also now partners in her independent label Atled Records which she launched after parting ways with her longtime record label home Sony and released her new single Back To Your Heart last month.
After the premiere performance of the song at a festival in Malta, Copley celebrated the launch of the label and his love for Goodrem.
“Getting to play music anywhere is special for me, playing music anywhere with my love is even better, playing music with my love with my family in Malta was so incredible! But yesterday’s performance was important for more reasons that,” he wrote.
“With an incredible team around us that we could not do any of this without, Delta and I started ATLED Records and premiered the first song live on stage!”
The pair have just returned to Australia after her European tou,r to kick off her national concerts in celebration of the 20th anniversary of her debut album Innocent Eyes.
The Innocent Eyes tour opens at the Sydney Coliseum Theatre on Saturday.
