The singer is jetting into Sydney later this week for a one-off performance for Mardi Gras at the Hordern Pavilion on March 2nd.

Lambert last visited Australia just before the pandemic, and has shared his excitement to return to Sydney.

“I love LA and can’t imagine not being there,” the star told news.com.au. “But believe me that every time I’m in Sydney the thought (of moving) crosses my mind!

“I’m very excited to be back in Australia. I was here on tour just as Covid was starting. I know how hard the pandemic was for the people of Australia, so it’s inspiring to be able to be back here! And it’s especially special to be bringing some fun entertainment to everyone with The Voice and headlining Mardi Gras.”

Lambert teased that those planning to catch his Mardi Gras performance can expect some big surprises, and maybe even some hints about new music.

“I’m currently putting together my set list and that’s really been fun,” said the star. “You

can expect some surprises, and lots of dancing! There is so much I’m working on that I can’t

wait to share with my fans and the world. This is a really exciting time for me so you can expect some hints and drops and announcements coming out this year.”

In the meantime, Lambert will join LeAnn Rimes, Guy Sebastian and beloved Aussie singer Kate Miller-Heidke on The Voice Australia this year.

“I am thrilled to be joining the panel of The Voice this season. I have such great memories in Australia and can’t wait to spend some time down under!” said Lambert, who was a runner-up on American Idol in 2009 before soaring to success around the world.

“OMG, I adore Adam Lambert! I don’t usually watch #TheVoice but I’m only here because of him, cannot wait for this,” commented one fan on Twitter, while another wrote: “Fantastic line-up of judges. Adore Adam, well chosen.”
