Music star sets up in Australia with wife and children

This popular music star has quietly relocated to Australia from the UK with his wife and children, and has been spotted soaking up the sunshine at Bondi.

Ronan Keating spotted in Sydney after relocation announcement

Ronan Keating has officially put down roots in Australia.

The Irish singer, 47, recently moved from London to enjoy a quieter life down under with his Aussie-born wife, Storm Keating, and their two children, Cooper, seven, and Coco, four.

While it’s unknown exactly where the family have moved to, Keating and his wife were spotted soaking up the sunshine at Bondi Beach this past week, after enjoying a holiday in northern NSW hotspot Byron Bay last month.

The former Boyzone member previously announced he would be relocating to Australia in August, after making the “very difficult decision” to quit his hit UK radio show, Magic Radio Breakfast Show, after seven years on-air.

Saying he’d loved his lengthy stint hosting, Keating told listeners he now wanted to focus on “really important” memories with family which he’d “missed” over the years.

Keating also has three adult children from his previous marriage to Yvonne Connolly – Jack, Ali and Missy – who he said would “pop in and out” visiting.

It makes sense Keating would choose Australia, as wife Storm, 43, was born and raised in the rural town of Childers, Queensland.

The TV producer has worked on a number of local and British TV shows, including The Apprentice Australia, MasterChef Australia, The X Factor, The Voice Australia, and The Voice UK.

Keating met Storm in 2011 while he was a judge on The X-Factor in Australia. They were married in 2015.

Sharing video highlights of his recent stay in Byron Bay on Instagram, Keating could be seen enjoying a beach day surfing with his wife and kids as well as enjoying their luxury accommodation at The Bower Byron Bay.

“Byron Bay haze. We have been coming here for years, but only just discovered the chic and super cool #thebowerbyronbay.

“A lovely, small team who know how to do it right. Thanks guys,” Keating wrote.

The post was met with dozens of comments from Keating’s UK fans, who said his new life in Australia looked like “paradise”.

“So good to see you all enjoying beautiful Australia, one of my favourite countries,” one wrote.

“Wow. Magical place. Enjoy it with family,” another said.

“Cooper and Coco look like they are both having the time of their lives,” a third added.

“Enjoy your time with your family. It seems to be a beautiful place,” a fourth wrote.

Speaking on his final day on-air in August, Keating said he would capitalise on his downtime in Australia by working on new music.

But there’s also a spot on The Voice coaching panel available after Guy Sebastian announced last month he’d be stepping down.

Sebastian, 43, said he’d be leaving his role after six years on the Channel 7 program to focus on writing and performing new music.

“I have made the decision to take a break from the best red chair on the planet,” he said in a long post on Instagram.

“It’s been six amazing years as a coach and it’s honestly been the best gig ever!

“I have nothing but good things to say about the show itself, and sharing the panel with such amazing coaches has been a pleasure.”
