LIFE finds a way and it looks like actor Jeff Goldblum has found his way back into the Jurassic Park franchise.
It’s been a decade since the 65-year-old actor last came face-to-face with dinosaurs and a new poster for the upcoming Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has fans wondering if we will see his return to the series.
The new poster for the film shared by star Chris Pratt on Instagram teases the fan favourite’s return by featuring the iconic words “Life Finds A Way,” first uttered by Goldblum’s paranoid character Dr Ian Malcolm in the original 1993 film.
Although there’s been no confirmation if there will indeed be a Goldblum cameo, the teaser was enough to get fans excited.
“Please tell me that’s a teaser for Jeff Goldblum having a cameo,” one fan tweeted.
“Jeff Goldblum is actually coming back for Jurassic World 2 I mean Ian Malcolm was like my first crush,” another tweeted.
According to the film’s director Colin Trevorrow, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will move the series away from disaster theme parks and explore what would happen if the dinosaurs were used as weapons.
“[It will not be] just a bunch of dinosaurs chasing people on an island. That’ll get old real fast,” Trevorrow told Wired.
“This [dinosaur cloning] isn’t always going to be limited to theme parks, and there are applications for this science that reach far beyond entertainment... look back at nuclear power, and how that started, the first instinct was to weaponise it.”
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom premieres June 22, 2018.
