FORMER MODEL Michelle Leslie has married the man she says helped mend her life.

Leslie, 31, tied the knot with marketing executive Adam Zammit in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and friends in New Zealand.

The couple met shortly after Leslie famously spent three months in Bali's Kerobokan jail for being found in possession of two ecstasy tablets at a dance party on the island in 2005.

"Being surrounded by my wonderful family and amazing friends on our wedding day was everything I could have hoped for, and more perfect than I could have ever imagined," Leslie told The Sunday Telegraph after the wedding.

Zammit said: "Married to the girl of my dreams, hope I never wake up".

Leslie wore a Steven Khalil Haute couture dress as the couple exchanged Cerrone rings at Queenstown's Stoneridge Estate overlooking the breathtaking view of Lake Hayes and Coronet Peak.

Leslie, now a highly popular interior designer in Sydney, walked down the aisle as former Leonardo's Bride singer Abby Dobson performed Metallica's Nothing Else Matters.

With music overseen by ARIA Award-winner Paul Mac, Dobson also sang her biggest hit, Even When I'm Sleeping.

Former Silverchair bass player Chris Joannou was in the bridal party as a groomsman, as Daniel John's ex, model Louise van der Vorst, was on the bride's side.

Radio and TV personality Merrick Watts was MC, with guests including Joannou's partner Laura Csortan, Jack Singleton, Lauren Miller-Cilento, Sophie Faulkner and Brad Ngata.
