Masked Singer fakery claim surfaces after COVID outbreak
How did celebrities on The Masked Singer manage to avoid contracting COVID-19 after dancers on the show tested positive this season? And will Boy George’s booting from The Voice smash the dreams of one young singer?

It seemed like a miraculous stroke of luck.
A troupe of “dancers” tested positive for COVID-19 during filming of The Masked Singer last month but the show’s stable of “celebrities” was somehow spared.
An act of the TV gods?
Apparently not, according to an on-set source, who says the truth lays in the fact that the “celebrities” were nowhere near the Melbourne set.
In fact, the only time the stars of the Channel 10 show were in their costumes was moments before their unveilings, with dancers allegedly acting as stand-ins during filming.
“All the vocals are prerecorded prior to filming and the performances are done by dancers, or doubles,” a Channel 10 spy said. “ … they don’t perform at all. It’s written in to their contracts.”
But a spokesman for Channel 10 denied the claims.
“These claims are rubbish. Don’t know who this ‘crew member’ is but they cleary (sic) have no idea,” he said.
ASPIRING SINGER LEFT HANGING
The pending departure of ’80s pop star Boy George from The Voice could spell the end to what seemed like a genuine fairytale moment this season.
As Saturday Confidential revealed last week, the Culture Club frontman is set to be booted from the coaching panel at the close of the season, along with Kelly Rowland.
The move casts doubt over the fabled duet which Boy George promised to record with Gold Coast schoolgirl Lucy Griffiths after she performed his hit Do You Really Want To Hurt Me.
Viewers were assured George would “absolutely” go ahead with the duet once his schedule allowed.
But there was nothing but radio silence when we inquired this time around.
