LA Rams stars in Melbourne to spread NFL hype ahead of 2026 game
LA Rams stars have touched down in Melbourne to meet with fans and spread the NFL hype ahead of the first of the team’s multi-year deal to play games locally from 2026.

LA Rams fever is about to fire up in Melbourne with three stars of the American National Football League team set to meet fans at Margaret Court Arena on Sunday.
Kobie Turner, Steve Avila and Davis Allen have touched down in town and will appear at the Los Angeles Rams Australia Fan Combine at the Melbourne Park venue alongside Rams cheerleaders and the Rams mascot, Rampage.
The famous Vince Lombardi Super Bowl Trophy will be on display on the day.
The ‘combine’ will allow fans to take part in modified National Football League skills and drills and activities in the presence of the players.
Early Saturday morning as the sun rose, a content shoot took place on Princes Bridge over the Yarra River with the Rams mascot being shown where the Melbourne Cricket Ground was by a man dressed in an orange kangaroo suit.
On Saturday morning Turner, Avila and Allen went to the Melbourne Zoo to meet koalas.
The trio also showed up at the match between Carlton and North Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.
“It’s a huge milestone to see the team heading to Melbourne next year for the 2026 game, introducing the NFL to Australia for the first time. After visiting the MCG this weekend, we can’t wait for the chance to play on such a legendary stage and feel the energy of Aussie fans first-hand,” Davis Allen said.
On Saturday night they hosted an influencer event at Melbourne Park with guests including troubled Western Bulldogs star Jamarra Ugle-Hagan.
The LA Rams have signed a multi-year deal to play regular season games in Melbourne beginning in 2026. It is part of the NFL’s strategy to grow the American game into new markets around the world.
The game will be played at the iconic MCG. The date and who the Rams will play is yet to be announced.
