Kyle Sandilands confirms engagement to Tegan Kynaston

Kyle Sandilands' engagement to Tegan Kynaston included tears, fireworks and luxury food such as crocodile and palm sugar bacon.

Kyle Sandilands has confirmed his engagement to partner of two years Tegan Kynaston, revealing he revealing he burst into tears while proposing over Christmas.

The KIIS radio host revealed details of the upcoming nuptials during his first morning back on air on Monday.

Sandilands, 50, proposed to Kynaston, 35, while the pair was holidaying at his Port Douglas house over the summer break.

On one knee …

And fireworks as Kynaston said yes.

“We went to Port Douglas, went to the reef … and got engaged,” Sandilands revealed this morning.

“I’m very happy. I cried. I’m just an emotional type of guy these days.

“I have a fiance. Can you believe it?”

Sandilands had hidden go-pros around his property and one live video operator – his manager Bruno Bouchet – to capture the special moment.

“(We’re) very happy. She (Kynaston) cried and cried and it’s quite the ring,” the radio host said.

“I told her to put some weight on those little fingers.”

Sandilands proceeded to apologise to other single ladies who “missed out” on the opportunity to take his hand in marriage, including long-time co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.

“I want to apologise to all the women in the world – you missed out,” he said jokingly.

“I’m officially off the market ladies.”

He had originally organised Conrad Sewell to fly over and perform his song ‘Life’ for the couple, however, the Australian singer fell ill with Covid, and Sandilands had to come up with a quick plan B.

He hopped in the car with Kynaston and pretended to drive to his friend’s popup art show near the foreshore only to rock up to a decorated venue full of candles and purple lightning where he proposed.

Fireworks went off and friends embraced the couple before indulging in a fancy feast of exotic foods, including crocodile, palm sugar bacon, and jungle spring rolls served in coconuts.

Photographs taken on Saturday show Kynaston disembarking a private jet with Sandilands and their beloved pup Tacita, donning a huge diamond ring on her left hand.

Sources close to the couple told Sydney Confidential a wedding is on the cards in the near future with Sandilands “known to be quite hasty with these sorts of things”.

Kids are also a possibility with the radio host receiving the “all-clear” from a fertility test and admittingly getting clucky around his best mates starting young families, such as John Ibrahim.

Baby names have already come up in discussion between the couple with J’Majesty on the top of Sandilands’ list.
