FRANCE

With all eyes on Paris, the city of love will turn into the city of sport for the Olympics, with athletic royalty in the stands and the field. But before that, Paris played host to the wedding of chef Guillaume Brahimi and designer Tamie Ingham. Her former business partner Jasmine Stefanovic was bridesmaid and Lachlan Murdoch a groomsman and their partners, Karl and Sarah, among the A-list guests. Meanwhile, in the South of France, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, Jessica Alba, Camila Cabello, Gwyneth Paltrow and Halle Berry enjoyed a mini-work-break, attending the Cannes Lions, with Berry even carrying the Olympic torch. Kyle Sandilands also kept the region’s economy afloat, saying he dropped $500,000 on his recent honeymoon in St Tropez. He and Tegan Kynaston spent three weeks in France and Barcelona, with a posse including co-host Jackie O.

Locals might be demonstrating about over-tourism, but we imagine they are making an exception for Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky, who were in Barcelona, with their children India Rose, 12 and twins Tristan and Sasha, 9. In the Balearics, Mallorca is no stranger to celebrities, with everyone from Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas to Rafael Nadal owning homes on the island. Recent celebrity visitors include Tom Cruise, the Kardashians, Michael Jordan and Michelle Obama. In neighbouring Menorca, Keanu Reeves was spotted enjoying a holiday and Naomi Campbell has been vacationing on party-island Ibiza.

ITALY

It wouldn’t be a European summer without Roxy Jacenko on a yacht and the PR chief didn’t disappoint, boarding a boat from St Tropez to Cannes in France, before heading to Monte Carlo, then Portofino and the Italian coast. Also on a France-Italy holiday was Michelle Bridges and son Axel, 8, who enjoyed a trip to Disneyland Paris, before heading to Rome and wowing her social media followers with her swimsuit try-on in Sicily. Kylie Jenner was in Rome with her kids, the Beckhams on a mega-yacht in Sardinia and Toni Collette was also in Italy, filming movie Under the Stars and making the most of the location. Posting multiple snaps of herself on the beach and having cocktails, The Power star has fallen in love with the country. “I love you Roma,” she wrote, with one follower quipping she should change her name to Colletti.

That’s where Rebel Wilson, Sydney Sweeney and Kate Hudson, have been sojourning lately. Rebel visited the Acropolis in Athens, before posting an adorable photo of her daughter Royce by a pool. Next she nipped over to the UK, to a wedding with the Duchess of York, plus Wimbledon, before heading to Turkey. Her holiday joy was only been marred by a battle with her upcoming movie The Deb’s producers. Also in the Greek Islands, was Kate Hudson and fiance Danny Fujikawa, the actor posting a reel of her leaping off a boat in her bikini, on Instagram. Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney has also been holidaying in Skopelos, posting, “My, my, how can I resist you,” of the Mamma Mia location. And Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny were seen in Spetses.

Finally, it wouldn’t be a European summer without Tom Cruise in his second-home of Britain. When not filming Mission Impossible 8, the actor has been seen everywhere, from dancing at Glastonbury to watching Wimbledon. The tennis tournament, earlier this month, brought out the big names, with everyone from Brad Pitt to Benedict Cumberbatch, Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale, Zendaya and Julia Roberts spotted in the stands.
