Jordan Ablett tells of heartbreak amid secret pregnancy

Jordan Ablett has revealed the story behind the pregnancy she and husband Gary kept under wraps, which brought a sibling for their son, Levi.

Jordan Ablett has paid tribute to husband Gary for his strength and support after they welcomed a baby girl Grace last week.

Jordan described being away from their son Levi as heartbreaking as she opened up on the pregnancy journey which they had kept under wraps.

“I’m immensely grateful for my husband for holding my hand tightly and lovingly walking this season with me,’’ Jordan wrote on Instagram.

“The constant support, love & encouragement has given me a strength to get through what has been a beautiful (but for the most part) challenging journey — navigating pregnancy, only this time with our gorgeous dependent son.

“You’ve so graciously taken on the role of primarily caring for him as it’s been physically too demanding for me, whilst helping me with the grief that continues to hover after losing one of my most supportive pillars in life.

“We love you G! You’ve got a way of seeing life and all its challenges in the most wonderful light & with an eternal perspective. You have kept me calm and courageous & I’m so thankful. You are the most amazing husband and father, truly!”

Jordan Ablett posted a picture of son Levi on Instagram.

The Abletts’ son Levi, 2, has a rare degenerative illness and requires ongoing care. Jordan posted a pictue of him smiling and filled with joy to meet his new sister, Grace Honour Ablett who was born on November 10.

“Being away from this boy was heartbreaking in hospital,’’ Jordan wrote.

“I was flooded with tears every day. I felt this strange guilt because I physically couldn’t be there for my little man & despite my reason for not being with him was that I was working hard to bring him home a sibling, I couldn’t help but feel this way. So bizarre!

“Coming home from hospital to see him so joyous and holding pink balloons was too much for my heart. Welcoming his little sister home with the brightest smile & the purest light beaming out of him was one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen. I’m so blessed to have this family!”

Jordan also paid tribute to Gary’s family for their support. She lost her beloved mother, Trudy, to lung cancer last year.

“Special shout-out to my in-laws, family & close friends who have been so helpful in bridging any gap that has opened these past 9 months or so... sharing the load with us so willingly & generously has enabled us in many ways. We are so grateful for our village!

“Thank you also to everyone who has sent us kind & thoughful messages, gifts, flowers, dropped off homemade meals & of course — coffees, as well as all the other ways you’ve reached out to pour your love over our new family of four! We are blessed to have your support and love just how loved our children are by you all.”

The Abletts announced the birth of their daughter last week via an Instagram post:

“We are overjoyed to share with you all that our precious little boy, Levi, has become a big brother to his very own little sister; Grace,” the post read.

“Thank you god for sending this little angel – our beautiful daughter – into our family.”
