Joel Corry clears up rumours of relationship with Love Island UK star

UK hit maker Joel Corry has come clean on whether he’s in a relationship with UK Love Island star Coco Lodge, ahead of two Sydney gigs this weekend.

UK hit maker Joel Corry is revving up for two Sunday sessions at Glass Island this weekend, emphatically telling Confidential that “Australian crowds are the best in the world”.

The 34-year-old cemented his status as a dance music pioneer by collaborating with the likes of Charlie XCX and David Guetta, and remixing tracks by artists like Nina Simone, Ed Sheeran, Megan Thee Stallion and Elton John.

“I don’t party that much, although it looks like that on social media,” Corry said.

“I have to be sensible because I’m flying nearly every day. After a gig I get back home, have a bubble bath and I’m watching Dragon’s Den or Gordon Ramsay.”

The Head & Heart producer doubled back on recent comments that he’s been “single for six years” — just months after Love Island UK star Coco Lodge announced their relationship in August.

“We’re still on,” Corry told Confidential.

Lodge and Corry met when he was a DJ on the Love Island set.

“It’s obviously difficult because I’m touring so much. I’m away now in Australia, then I go to New Zealand, Canada, Japan, and I’m not home until the middle of December.

“It’s tricky to sustain any kind of normal relationship.”

Corry first met Lodge when he DJ’d on the Love Island set, and he added that “she’s a great girl”.

“When we do get a chance to see each other, it’s special.

“It keeps it fresh as well when you don’t see someone that much, it’s kind of exciting.”

With debut album Another Friday Night released, Corry can lean into touring.

“For the first time I’m really enjoying being on the road because I don’t have the overarching stress of producing and bringing out new music,” he said.

“I find it tough to do both things at the same time.”
