“I’ve had eating disorders,” she said before revealing she suffered with bulimia.

“When I was much younger,” revealed the star in a chat that can be caught on tonight’s episode on Channel 10 and 10 Play. “Just all the pressure, Instagram, and being in the spotlight. I felt that I had to look a certain way. I’m a really bad binge eater. I used to do it once a week. You’d feel sick about the amount of food I was eating in one sitting. I think it’s my ADHD. With ADHD you are always searching for that quick dopamine hit. Packets of chips, maltesers, two-minute noodles, blocks of chocolate. Everything within one sitting. I’d finish it all off and then within one hour …”

However, she went on to share that since educating herself on nutrition, she has been able to control her urges and has had fewer episodes.

Meanwhile, Wheatley has emerged as a talking point among viewers for her outspoken nature. She asked former Studio 10 host Tristan MacManus if he was the “TV love rat”, candidly opened up about her several cosmetic surgeries, and described herself as an “influenza” rather than an “influencer”.

And while she concedes she might cop a bit of flack for her frankness, Wheatley is hopeful the public will see her heart is in the right place.

“I do say really dumb s**t and sometimes I don’t find the right vocabulary to express what I’m trying to say and it will come out wrong,” she said.

She continued: “And it’s just like, oh f**k, that’s not what I actually meant. And I’m very impulsive, so I can say things in the moment and then it’d be like, ‘wow, that was not the right thing to say.’

“So I’m worried because I am who I am, but I also feel like I’ve learned over the years being so heavily involved in social media that there’s things that aren’t really appropriate. Things that people will be offended by.

“I’m not easily offended if someone makes a joke or cracks a joke at me. I will not be offended. I am not that sensitive, but have learned that other people are sensitive. So you have to keep in mind not to say certain things.”
