Guillaume Brahimi, Tamie Ingham’s Paris wedding was missing his four children

Guillaume Brahimi’s chic Paris wedding featured a cast of high profile media stars but it was hard to find evidence the chef’s four children were among the glitterati.

As images of the Sydney chef’s Paris nuptials to Sydney chicken heiress Tamie Ingham began to flood social media on Saturday, family insiders said Brahimi’s four children to first wife Sanchia Curran — Constance, Honor, Violette and Loïc — had not attended the wedding.

Guests at the luxe wedding included Lachlan and Sarah Murdoch, NOVA star Michael “Wippa” Wipfli and wife Lisa, ironman Grant Kenny and his makeup artist girlfriend Stojanka Bulic, fashion designer Michael Lo Sordo, socialite Rey Vakili, the bride’s business partner, Jasmine Stefanovic and her husband, Nine personality Karl, whose absence from Nine’s Today show chair has been sorely noted.

The couple wed at Musee Rodin before kicking up their heels afterwards at celebrated French restaurant Maxim’s, which was opened in 1893 by Maxime Gaillard and became a celebrity hotspot though Gaillard famously struggled to pay his bills.

Luckily it seems for the revived-by-love Brahimi that’s not going to be a problem for the newlyweds, whose extravagance at last week’s wedding was very much on display.

Plum magazine gig up for grabs

One of the Australian magazine industry’s most coveted positions is available following the promotion of marie claire’s editor Nicky Briger to a new senior executive role at ARE Media. After eight years in the editor’s chair, the popular Briger, who replaced Jackie Frank in the role in 2015, has taken up the post as General Manager of Fashion & Beauty at ARE.

Briger revealed the news during the week and confirmed in her new remit she would still oversee marie claire as well as ELLE and Girlfriend magazines.

She touted the magazine group’s future omnichannel plans in her announcement.

Also in a new role at ARE is Susan Armstrong who will take on running the media company’s entertainment vertical business.

Armstrong previously worked at The Suite Collective which she founded in 2021 following roles at CEO Magazine.
