HOLLYWOOD’S biggest stars have made their mark on the Golden Globes red carpet, facing the usual scrutiny from Fashion Police, critics and fans.

The usually sunny Los Angeles was hit with some serious showers yesterday, with organisers forced to cover the red carpet with a tarp and sweep off extra water.
Standouts included Kate Hudson, Jennifer Lopez and Emma Stone, with very few stars putting a fashion foot wrong.
The white cutout trend was strong with Hudson, Rosamund Pike, Guiliana Rancic donning the shade, as were red dresses worn by Heidi Klum, Allison Williams, Lena Dunham, Helen Mirren, Kate Mara and Jane Fonda.
50 Shades Of Grey star Dakota Johnson, former fashion model, Diane Kruger and actresses Reese Witherspoon and Kate Beckinsale embraced silver and metallic ensembles.
This year’s red carpet also featured a drone camera for the first time ever, giving fashion fans a bird’s eye view of the stars on the ruby rug.
Some of the first stars to hit the carpet were the cast of Entourage also arrived early to film scenes for their upcoming movie, using the Globes as their very own movie set.

One celebrity who surprisingly didn’t turn up was red carpet regular Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, who shunned the Golden Globes this year to instead stay at home with her dog Norman where “no one can judge” what she’s wearing.
“Yes Norman, I will stay home all day with you, veg on the couch, eat, sleep, cuddle and listen to the rain,” she wrote alongside a post of herself on the lounge. “Best Sunday ever #watchingglobesfromcouch #noonegetstojudgewhatimwearing.”
