George Burgess’s marriage to Joanna King ends

Just weeks after residents of a Bondi apartment block were unhappy about the noise emanating from an unit occupied by George Burgess comes word his seven-year marriage has ended.

When it comes to the Burgess boys, as we’ve seen time and again, where there’s smoke there’s inevitably a conflagration.

Just weeks after this column revealed residents of a Bondi apartment block were unhappy about the noise emanating from an apartment occupied by George Burgess who, it was claimed, had been partying until 7.30am, comes word his seven-year marriage to Joanna King, mother of his three children, has ended.

That’s three of four Burgess boys who have busted up with their wives or mothers of their children in the past four years.

First to succumb was elder brother Luke’s union with Next Top Model contestant Yolanda Hodgson, with whom he has daughter Grace, 8.

That ended in 2019, the same year brother Sam's four-year marriage to wife Phoebe, mother of his two children, Poppy, 6, and Billy, 4, imploded.

Both Luke and Sam have wasted no time moving on – Luke last year welcoming a new daughter, Charlotte, with new partner Tori May while Sam has a new baby on the way with new model partner Lucy Graham.

Only Tom Burgess appears to have made a love match with wife Tahlia, the mother of his two daughters Elodie and Sophie.
