It was a case of billionaire derrière on Sydney Harbour on Sunday as Francesca Packer celebrated her 26th birthday in style by throwing the hottest party of the year.

With the temperature nudging 40C on the hottest weekend on record the heiress to the Packer fortune hosted a large party for friends and family aboard The Island on Sydney Harbour.

Strong gusting westerly winds resulted in a revealing wardrobe malfunction for Francesca as she prepared to board a tender at Double Bay for the trip out to the exclusive party pontoon in the middle of the harbour.

When she arrived at the party, recently single Francesca changed into a fashionable black sequin fitted dress with long sleeves and a deep cut neckline.

She added a number of silver chains around her neck, as well as a large pair of hoop earrings.

As the drinks flowed and the temperature continued to soar several of the guests dived into the water for a swim to cool off.

Francesca could be seen chatting and hugging several of her friends during the celebrations.
