Footy WAG Chelsea Becirevic has hit back at implications she uses her boyfriend Ivan Soldo for his money.
The influencer, who has been dubbed the AFL’s hottest WAG, was opening up to her followers during a Q&A when she was sent a question she described as “incredibly toxic towards women”.
The former air hostess said she was planning a big Europe trip.
Someone replied: “Let me guess. Europe all on poor Ivan’s dollar?”
Becirevic, who has been dating the Port Adelaide ruckman for several years, fired back: “It’s wild how often I get messages like this, usually from fake accounts consistently implying I’m only with my partner for his money or that I don’t have anything of my own going on.
“The assumption is not just false, it’s tired, small-minded and honestly gross. You see 1 per cent of our lives on here, if that. You actually don’t know anything.
“Why is it so hard to believe that a woman can be with a successful man and be successful herself or have her own money?
“The football world can be incredibly toxic towards women. I don’t usually say anything but the constant judgement and dismissive narratives … I’m exhausted by it.”
Becirevic made the move to Adelaide with former Tiger Soldo who was traded to the Power at the end of 2023.
She sparked a frenzy when she suggested the city was “too boring” but she has since explained she has grown fond of her new home.
At one point she moved to Dubai and worked as an air hostess for several months before returning.
“It’s been so much better and (I’m) slowly meeting people which has definitely helped,’’ she said of Adelaide.
