OH to have been a fly on the wall for this reunion.
Radio heavyweights John Laws and Alan Jones appear to have buried the hatchet so to speak, putting aside any past rivalries to sit down for a festive lunch together.
Jones and Laws have traded verbal blows over the years but have always insisted they have a strong friendship. Well here is the proof.
“How’s this? Christmas lunch at Sokyo with the best,” Jones wrote on Instagram, sharing a happy snap of the catch-up. “J Laws will always be at the top of the media tree. We laughed today as we have laughed in the past. Many of the stories are unrepeatable! You can’t replace good times.”
Under their joint brain, 2UE was the jewel in the crown of Sydney radio for many years until Jones defected to 2GB and his old station was dismantled.
Also at the lunch was The Star Chairman John O’Neill, former Prime Minister Tony Abbott and Jones’ producer Jake Thrupp.
It is understood the group shared a toast and laughed off years of suggestions of a feud between Jones and Laws.
It is understood to have been a three hour lunch with Laws making a rock star exit in his Mercedes Maybach.
