Bride's shocker wedding day act: 'Unbelievable'

A well-known Double Bay wedding planner has been convicted and slapped with fines after she was busted speeding while on a suspended licence.

Kashaya Williams, a florist and celebrity wedding planner, was caught driving through Sydney’s east at 10km over the speed limit earlier this year.

She was suspended from driving at the time.

The 38-year-old was due to face Waverley Court on Tuesday but failed to show up.

The court waited several hours for her to appear, but Magistrate Michael Barko eventually decided to deal with the matter without her being present.

He recorded a criminal conviction in her absence and issued her more than $1200 in fines.

Williams’ business, Kashaya and Co, shot to fame several years ago after she styled the wedding of Erin Holland and Ben Cutting, and put together special days for Bachelor alums Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich.

The breakdown of her marriage with former Luxe Listings real estate agent Evan Williams

was also highly publicised after he was charged with domestic violence offences.

He admitted to the charges but they were dealt with under the Mental Health Act.

It’s unknown whether Williams is still running her once-booming business, with the last post on Instagram published almost two years ago.
