She grew up around the cricket field, but it’s beside the racetrack that you’ll find Grace Hayden these days.
The daughter of cricket legend Matthew Hayden, the 22-year-old recently entered the racing industry after landing a new gig as a sports presenter and can’t wait to get into the fashion stakes this autumn racing season.
“Obviously this season we’re leaning more into the deeper colours and tones, and you can go for a bit more texture as well,” Hayden told The Daily Telegraph.
“Pinks are coming to play and I love being able to step into my Barbie core.
“I think it’s important to mix it up and there is a real difference between spring and autumn fashion.”
Hayden will also be bringing her touch of gold to Rosehill this Saturday for the TAB Golden Slipper Day.
“Rosehill brings an incredible atmosphere and crowd and it’s going to be amazing since it’s the richest two-year-old race in the world. The calibre of horses is unbelievable.”
Ahead of the weekend’s race, Hayden got to meet another child of Australian sporting royalty.
Unbeaten colt King of Pop is hoping to follow in the footsteps of its father, 2020 Golden Slipper winner Farnan, by taking out the $5m race.
The event will kick off a keenly anticipated six-week racing season, with Aussie DJ CYRIL set to perform as part of the After The Last concert series.
