The first season featured a nipple flash, a dog being run over and an exaggerated poop scene, so it was always going to be a hard act to follow.

But production for season two of the hit series Colin From Accounts is officially underway in Sydney – and who knows what they will get up to this time.

The first season of the romantic comedy followed the lives of Ashley and Gordon – played by Logie-award winners Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer – who were brought together when her nipple flash caused him to run over a dog.

Caring for the injured dog – nicknamed Colin From Accounts – sent Ashley and Gordon into a whirlwind of relationship triumphs, losses, and vet fees.

We know season two of the hit series opens with Ash and Gordon now living together and trying to get their beloved special needs dog Colin back from his new owners.

The new season is said to feature even more “relationship misadventures” between Ashley and Gordon, with actors Brammall and Dyer excited to return to the screen as the flawed but loveable characters.

“Season 1 went better than expected so here’s hoping we don’t mess this one up. We are thrilled to be back playing Ashley and Gordon running amok in the streets of Sydney,” they said.

“We are just sad we had to leave our actual dog in America. Doesn’t seem to be in the spirit of the show, but here we are.”

Season one broke records to become the Foxtel Group’s most watched original scripted series of all time.

The series has been a global success, premiering across the world including in the UK on BBC and the US on Paramount+ to rave reviews, with a certified fresh score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The hit comedy series also received an outstanding 10 nominations for the 2024 AACTA Awards.

Executive director of Binge Alison Hurbert-Burns said that filming will take place across Sydney and the city’s inner-west, so “hopefully” audiences won’t have to wait much longer to find out what happens after season one’s cliffhanger ending.
