A new line-up of brides and grooms are set to get hitched on national television when Married At First Sight returns in early 2022.
Channel 9 teased the upcoming season at Nine Upfronts this week, dropping a trailer for the reality show which gave brief glimpses of the fresh cast.
“Get ready for the most handsome new grooms and breathtaking new brides we’ve ever hitched,” a dramatic voiceover says as footage rolls of the new contestants.
While their identities have not yet been revealed, we do get to see their faces in the teaser.
We are shown four brides, including three brunettes and a blonde, all sporting glamorous dresses.
And then, of course, there are the blokes, including two polished, suited men and a male with reading glasses and a hipster-style party shirt.
MAFS experts John Aiken and Mel Schilling will return yet again as mediators, while this year’s newcomer, sexologist Alessandra Rampolla, is also back in the hot seat.
The show has already begun filming, with the final vows episode usually filmed in December.
This year’s season of MAFS aired its finale back in April, with only one relationship surviving the experiment.
Controversial couple Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson, who were the most talked about pairing for all the wrong reasons, have since gotten engaged and are expecting twins.
