Royal baby Archie has starred on his first outing, as Meghan and Kate have put aside rumours of a royal feud with a family day at the polo.
The royal wives club was supporting Princes William and Harry as they played off against each other in a charity match at the Billingbear Polo Club, near Wokingham, 61 kilometres west of London.
The whole gang, including Archie, and Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte, watched their fathers play off for the Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Polo Trophy.
Meghan was a doting mum, cuddling and kissing Archie as she tried to keep him cool on a warm summer’s day.
She was photographed with a bottle of sunscreen, making sure the two-month old had slip, slopped and slapped.
Meghan was wearing dark, aviator sunglasses and a green dress, while Archie was in a white short sleeved jumpsuit.
Kate was photographed chasing Prince Louis around the sidelines of the polo.
Wearing a red and white flowing dress, Kate also donned sunglasses and strappy sandals.
The happy family scenes come after a week of bad press for Meghan, after an outcry at the privacy restrictions around Archie’s baptism at the weekend.
Meghan was also criticised for her security detail insisting they tennis fans did not take photographs of her when she watched Serena Williams play on court one at Wimbledon last week.
The problem was that two of the people that her security detail had told off were actually taking selfies of the tennis, with the camera not even pointed at Meghan.
The trip to Wimbledon also raised issues with the strict rules at the All England Lawn Tennis Club, with Meghan’s choice to wear jeans breaching the club’s members area dress code.
“She wanted to come incognito but there were problems. They couldn’t invite her into the royal box because she was wearing jeans but that didn’t really matter because all she wanted to do was come and watch Serena,” an All England source told The Times.
“Andy Murray was on Court 1 afterwards and it was a massive faux pas not to watch a Brit when she is signed up to the royal family.”
Another source said: “It was a nightmare, she was a nightmare.”
The club denied any concerns about Meghan’s visit.
There have been reports that Meghan and Kate have had battles, with Meghan and Harry’s split from the charity The Royal Foundation cited as evidence of their different paths.
An official royal statement said of the polo: “The charity match will help raise funds and awareness for charities supported by Their Royal Highnesses.

Association, Fields in Trust, Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, The Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund, The Invictus Games Foundation, Irish Guards Appeal, Map Action, Mountain Rescue England and Wales, The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, Rhino Conservation Botswana, The Royal Marsden, RFU Injured Players Foundation, The Passage and the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust.”
