Controversial star of The Block Tanya Guccione rocked a daring look at Melbourne Fashion Festival this weekend, joking that she’s far from “basic”.

The Block star Tanya Guccione sure knows how to make a statement — turning heads in a bold see-through dress over the weekend.
The controversial reality contestant from the most recent season of the Channel 9 renovation show donned a colourful floor-length netting number with a flesh-coloured body suit underneath at a Melbourne Fashion Festival event.
In a series of Instagram snaps posing up a storm with husband Vito and fellow TV stars, the makeup artist wrote: “Ain’t no basic here!” adding that she “pushed the fashion game a little” with the edgy dress by Spanish label CeliaB.
“Because life is short and you gotta have fun!” she said of the daring look.
“A moment to enjoy all that Melbourne is,” Tanya penned in another post.
“Fashion, food, drinks with friends! With so much going on it’s nice to stop get dressed up and live a little fantasy for a bit!”
Tanya recently told news.com.au she has “no regrets” over her stint on The Block despite causing uproar with the show’s “biggest cheating scandal in history”.
She also said she’s eager to return to TV screens this year.
Tanya — who came in third after circulating a sneaky photo of the show’s secret production schedule — said The Block was “one of the best things she’s ever done”, adding that Nine executives have hinted there’ll be a place for her again in the future.
“I don’t think based on that season that we’ll be going away any time soon,” Tanya said.
“We’ve had some laughs and some giggles with Julian Cress and some Nine executives and they’re nothing but grateful. They’re like ‘It’s because of you guys that we had a cracker season’.
“The purple haired bandit could strike again!” she joked.
Tanya and Vito, who were third in the auction line up and came in third overall, made exactly $400,000 and one cent.
Their property had a $3.4m reserve, and sold for $3.8m (and one cent).
Responding to suggestions the couple should have donated their winnings in light of the cheating saga, Tanya was blunt.
“We were there and doing all the work, so to the people who have said things like ‘we should have donated our money.’ No mate, I ran all the way to the bank with that.
“We copped a lot of flack from a lot of people — we got crucified on TV — so we were more deserving than most to be honest,” she added.
