Queen snubs Meghan Markle on her 41st birthday

Working royals have set aside apparent tensions with Meghan Markle on her birthday - bar one.

Queen snubs Meghan Markle on her 41st birthday

Prince Charles and Camilla and Prince William and Kate seemed to put their apparent rift with the Sussexes on hold by wishing Meghan Markle a happy 41st birthday.

However the Queen has so far failed to publicly send a message to the Duchess.

“Wishing a happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex,” the Cambridges wrote on Twitter, alongside a photo of Prince Harry’s wife from her recent visit to the UK.

Prince Charles and Camilla also wished their daughter-in-law a happy birthday, posting a similar photo of Meghan on Twitter from the Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Cathedral.

“Happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex!” they wrote, adding a balloon emoji.

According to a royals expert, the former Suits actress will mark the occasion with a “low-key” gathering in California.

Kinsey Schofield speculated that Meghan’s plans could involve an intimate dinner at the couple’s favourite steak house, and maybe some baking with Archie and Lilibet, The Sun reports.

“I imagine Meghan’s birthday might be an intimate dinner at Lucky’s Steakhouse in Montecito. Maybe David Foster and Katharine McPhee also got a babysitter and are there to talk shop and celebrate the Duchess,” she said.

“Meghan loves to be in the kitchen so I do think she would wait to do the sweet treats and cake with Archie and Lili.”

“They might even bake and decorate themselves. I think we can expect a low key birthday for Meghan this year.”

“Maybe Prince Harry would gift her a new piece of jewellery that is somehow related to their babies. Their birthstones or initials.”

Royals fans from across the world took to social media to wish the Duchess a very happy birthday.

“#HappyBirthdayMeghan may you be spoiled by Harry, Archie, Lili & Doria, keep slaying and looking forward to what the future holds!,” one fan wrote.

“Happy 41th Birthday to the amazing Meghan Markle!,” another said.

HARRY FILES LAWSUIT FOR POLICE PROTECTION

Prince Harry has filed another lawsuit against the British government and Scotland Yard over their decision to ban him from paying for police protection when he’s in the UK .

The Duke of Sussex is already suing the Home Office over its 2020 decision to remove his taxpayer-funded protection, which he says makes it unsafe for him to come to Britain with his family.

“It is at an early stage, no hearings have been listed yet and no decisions have been made,” the Judicial Office said.

The second court case — which emerged on Meghan‘s birthday —focuses on the decision from earlier this year that people should not be able to privately pay for police protection.

It comes just weeks after Harry won the latest stage of his court fight in his initial claim against the Home Office in the High Court over his security arrangements.
