Queen ‘approved ban on Meghan Markle borrowing royal jewellery including Princess Diana’s tiaras’

Queen Elizabeth allegedly blocked Meghan Markle from borrowing royal jewellery, as the monarch has made a heartbreaking change to her social media.

The Queen approved a ban on Meghan Markle being allowed to borrow jewellery from the Royal Collection, it has been claimed.

According to The Sun, Prince William is believed to have backed a decision to prevent Meghan being able to use the priceless jewels, which include tiaras and necklaces once owned by Princess Diana.

It comes as it was also claimed Prince William will never forgive Meghan, 39, for her treatment of Kate Middleton.

The future king is understood to be fuming with Meghan even before her bombshell Oprah interview – but her claims about Kate making her cry were a final straw which William will never get over, according to The Sun.

It comes as royal author Penny Junor suggested that Meghan’s remarks about Kate in the Oprah interview could make it even more difficult for the brothers’ relationship to be fixed.

She said: “It depends how Kate is feeling. I must say I would be pretty damn cross.

“It wasn’t Harry, but it was his wife, and he must have known that she was going to do that and he clearly hasn’t corrected it in any way.”

It comes as a royal expert claims the Queen could give Kate the title of Princess after her 10 year wedding anniversary with Prince William.

Royal biographer Gyles Brandreth said that it could be a possibility as the Duke of Edinburgh was given the title of Prince after ten years of marriage to the Queen.

In a new biography about the late Prince, Mr Brandreth said: “In 2011, when Prince William married Catherine Middleton, the press talked up the possibility that the Queen might make her grandson’s bride a princess on her wedding day.

“It did not happen – and, so long as the Queen is Queen, I do not believe it will until William and Catherine have been married for ten years.

“The Queen always uses the honours at her disposal carefully and to a purpose. On Prince Philip’s ninetieth birthday, for example, she found for her husband a unique honour that was singularly appropriate.”

QUEEN MAKES HEARTBREAKING CHANGE TO HER SOCIAL MEDIA

The Monarch’s official Instagram page, The Royal Family, once had a photo of Queen Elizabeth with the Duke of Edinburgh, but her team recently changed it to a photo of Her Majesty on her own.

The heartbreaking move comes after a two week mourning period following the death of Prince Philip, which saw the Queen, Prince Charles and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge change their pictures on Instagram and Twitter to black and white images.

The Duke of Edinburgh, who had been married to the Queen for 73 years, passed away “peacefully” at Windsor Castle on April 9, aged 99.

Now the official mourning period is over, the images have returned to normal, except, of course, for the Queen’s Instagram account which has a new image.
