NO ONE knows how to work a camera like a supermodel as Miranda Kerr showed last night.
The former Victoria’s Secret catwalk queen and international jewellery brand Swarovski held an intimate dinner at Sydney’s iconic Bennelong restaurant at the Opera House last night and Kerr was the belle of the ball.
The upscale and happy vibe was a welcome change for Kerr who has been dealing with rumours of a family rift and speculation about her relationship status.
But Kerr, who insisted she is single, was in heaven last night as 50 international media couldn’t keep their eyes off her snapping pictures even as she dined.
The mega model was in mothering mode spending most of her time fussing over her pregnant friend and PR manager, Annie Kelly.
Ms Kelly is due to give birth in just under two weeks and Kerr has taken on the role as Godmother.
Kerr’s intimate dinner table of six, which included this lucky correspondent, was in selfie mode with Kerr adding her photographic touch to all our snaps. Let’s face it, she certainly knows how to make the most of good filters and lighting!
During the relaxed dinner, Kerr answered a FaceTime call from Orlando Bloom, her ex partner and father of their son Flynn.
Looking pleased to have received the call, Kerr laughed with dinner pals who she showed the audio visual call to.
Admitting she’s not a huge Facetime user - “you never know where you might be or what you are doing when someone calls” Kerr did say that ex-husband Orlando is.
“He’s a huge fan ot it!” said Kerr. “He loooves it.’’
Dinner guests included actor Emma Lung, cricket WAG Kyly Clarke, Vogue editor Edwina McCann, presenter Laura Dundovic, TV’s Tom Williams and his designer wife Rachel Gilbert who sipped Patron cocktails and Moet & Chandon bubbles before sitting down to a three course dinner designed by Matt Moran.
As expected, Kerr dazzled in a two-piece dress by Lover and Swarovski jewels, styled by her friend and fellow dinner companion, Romy Frydman.
Kerr took to the stage with Swarovski Creative Director Nathalie Colin to welcome guests, saying how thrilled she was to continue her associate with Swarovski.
“I have always loved the brand and what I stands for so it couldn’t be a better fit,” Miranda told news.com.au.
Bennelong was transformed into a sea of flowers and Swarovski sparkle for the night, featuring a bespoke sculptural installation by artist Gregor Kregar.
The Faders spun tunes as guest continued to party well into the night, most of whom took the opportunity to mingle and get a selfie with the Aussie beauty.
