Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s second baby is due in June: report

There’s been much speculation about when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s second baby is due. And now, days away from Prince Philip’s funeral, the date has finally been revealed.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s second baby – a girl – is due in June and the Duchess of Sussex will go on maternity leave in a matter of “weeks”.

Reports claim that the former Suits actor, 39, will start her mat leave in a month to prepare for the baby’s arrival, the UK’s Telegraph reports.

During their bombshell interview with Oprah last month, Harry and Meghan revealed they’re having a girl.

But in keeping with royal tradition, they didn’t share the due date.

It came as Meghan was unable to join her husband Harry in London for Prince Philip’s funeral after she was advised not to travel.

However, her pregnancy was not the only reason she isn’t attending the funeral.

Friends of the Duchess of Sussex claimed that she has remained in California while Harry is in London because she “doesn’t want to be the centre of attention”.

“Meghan said her main concern right now is supporting Harry. She said she left it up to him as to whether or not she would attend the funeral,” a source – described as having close ties to the former Suits actor – told the Daily Mail.

“Meghan said it’s during these times when family should come together, put their differences aside and unite as one.

Harry referenced his soon-to-be-born daughter while paying tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh yesterday.

The prince, who said he will remember his grandfather as the “master of the barbecue and legend of banter”, added: “Meghan, Archie, and I (as well as your future great-granddaughter) will always hold a special place for you in our hearts.”

Meghan and Harry’s baby girl will be the first royal to be born in the US.

Harry told Oprah: “To have any child, any one or any two, would have been amazing”.

“But to have a boy and then a girl, I mean what more can you ask for? Now we’ve got our family, we got the four of us and our two dogs.”
