MANY people predicted James Packer and Mariah Carey wouldn’t last a month together, but the pair seem to be going strong.

The pair, who went public with their romance in June this year, made their first red carpet appearance last night at the premiere of The Intern in New York City.

The 45-year-old singer dressed more conservatively for the occasion than she normally does, wearing a burgundy coloured dress and leather jacket.

While a trim looking Packer walked the red carpet with his new love, with his hand delicately on the small of her back.

The pair have already travelled to Sardinia, Israel and Ibiza together with her four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.

The pair have been spending some time together in New York.
