KIM Kardashian’s dress for the GQ Men of The Year awards has been labelled couture with a bondage twist, complete with her signature eye-popping cleavage.
The sheer tulle skirt embroidered with crystals was worn over a black latex bodysuit, a unique look that left many critics confused about whether they loved it or loathed it.
The Ralph & Russo Couture outfit was certainly unlike anything she’s ever worn before and was created by the Parisian high-fashion label in just five days.
“The look was custom-made for her, specifically for tonight’s event. She [Kim] knows exactly what she wants and she has great style, and we wanted to do something that was slightly different for her,” a spokesman for the fashion house told HollywoodLife.com.
“We started designing it four to five days ago and it was an adaption of a catwalk piece. The team really committed and prioritised it. These pieces usually take weeks to make, but we had a quick turnaround. The skirt is entirely hand-embroidered and we had a team of four people working on it. They had to pull an all-nighter last night.”
“She was very much involved in the final look. We wanted to create something that was unpredictable and we were all collectively excited about the fact that it’s new and unlike anything she’s ever worn before,” the spokesman added.
Kardashian, who attended with husband Kanye West, took home the Woman of The Year award at the London event while Jonah Hill, who received the International Man of the Year recalled his first love during his acceptance speech.
“Emily Moffat, my first girlfriend in sixth grade. You broke my heart and left it shattered. It was really sad. I know you’re young and love is wild and you grow apart but I’m GQ International Man of the f---ing Year!’
Other A-list attendees included Lindsay Lohan, Rita Ora, Cara Delevigne, Jessie J, Pharrell Williams, Gerard Butler and Colin Firth.
