Keanu Reeves captured answering ‘intense’ questions from young fan at airport

Keanu Reeves’ nice-guy antics have the internet abuzz again this week after the Matrix star was captured in a sweet exchange with a young fan at an airport.

Keanu Reeves may be the nicest guy on Earth

Keanu Reeves may just be the nicest – and most patient – man in Hollywood.

The actor is being described as a “class act” for his response to a young fan’s intense questioning following an international flight from London to New York on July 4.

The exchange was captured by TV producer Andrew Kimmel who tweeted the exchange, which has been re-shared over 21,000 times, New York Post reports.

Kimmel said the 57-year-old “happily” responded to the “rapid-fire questions” the young boy was asking.

“The man could not have been nicer, especially after an international flight,” Kimmel wrote.

According to Kimmel, The Matrix star said he was in London filming a documentary and went to the Grand Prix, and although he doesn’t drive Formula 1 cars himself, he does ride a motorcycle.

He also said he would be catching a Broadway show in New York (“American Buffalo! Mamet!”) and staying in Midtown.

“By this time the kid was running out of questions, so Keanu started grilling him,” Kimmel said.

“Why were you in Europe? What galleries did you go to in Paris? What was your favourite?”

Reeves has gone viral in past years for being a “gentleman,” amid a surge in popularity some called a “Keanussance”.

“I thought I’d share this because the dude is a class act and little moments like this can make such a big difference in people’s lives,” Kimmel shared. “We need more Keanus!”

Early this year, a longtime family friend of Keanu’s spoke to the New York Post about the star’s legendary generosity.

The source said the actor has made it his mission to spread his wealth, revealing he’s “somewhat embarrassed” by how much money he’s made from his films.

“Keanu’s given away a lot of money and done a lot more for people than most will ever know,” said the family friend.

“He knows how lucky he is. Unlike many Hollywood mega stars, he never takes any of this for granted.”

But insiders say part of his desire to share comes from having lost so much in his own life.

Reeves has suffered a slew of personal tragedies.

He was reportedly devastated in 1993, when his best friend and My Own Private Idaho co-star, River Phoenix, died of a drug overdose.

In 1999, his then-girlfriend Jennifer Syme, an assistant to director David Lynch, gave birth a month early to their daughter, but the baby, named Ava, was stillborn. The grief was too much for the couple’s relationship; they broke up not long after, then reunited in 2001.

But then Syme, 28, was reportedly battling depression the night she crashed into a line of parked cars in Los Angeles on April 1, 2001. She died instantly, and an investigation found she was intoxicated at the time of the wreck.

The actor is currently dating artist Alexandra Grant, 49. They have been together since 2019.
