KATE Hudson and Matt Bellamy have called off their engagement.
Confirmation of the couple’s shock split comes amid rumours the actress is now dating dancer Derek Hough.
The Hollywood actress and Muse frontman got together in 2010 and got engaged three months before the birth of their son Bingham Hawn Bellamy in 2011.
Hudson, 35, also has an 11-year-old son, Ryder, from her marriage to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson.
The pair were pictured together just weeks ago at Goldie Hawn’s Love In For Kids benefit in Beverly Hills, where Hudson flaunted her toned physique.
“Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now,” a spokesperson for the Hollywood star told People magazine. “Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents.”
US Weekly is reporting that Hudson is now dating dancer Derek Hough, a choreographer on the US version of Dancing With The Stars.
Bellamy, 36, proposed to Hudson in April 2011, but Hudson said at the time she was in no rush to get married, similar to her mother Goldie Hawn and stepfather Kurt Russell.
“My parents aren’t married,” Hudson, 35, told Women’s Health in October. “And one of the reasons why they never got married is because they had been married before and they liked it the way it was. They didn’t feel like they needed a piece of paper to be committed.”
