Jessica Lange reacts to Caitlyn Jenner comparisons

WITHIN minutes of Caitlyn Jenner introducing herself to the world in Vanity Fair, Twitter lit up with fans noting her resemblance to actress Jessica Lange.

WITHIN minutes of Caitlyn Jenner introducing herself to the world on the cover of Vanity Fair, fans began making comparisons between the 65-year-old and Jessica Lange.

The 66-year-old American Horror Story actress began to trend on Twitter as social media users posted images of the pair side-by-side, commenting on their striking resemblance.

Lange was asked during an interview what she thought about Twitter’s unanimous reaction. “Oh really?” she told The Daily Beast Monday. “That’s so wonderful. Well now I’m going to have to look for that picture.”

While thrilled with the comparisons, the Oscar winner needed a little bit more information as to what ‘trending’ was all about. “What does that mean?” she asked. “Trending on Twitter because Caitlyn Jenner on the cover — you see I don’t do any of this stuff, the internet. So I have no clue when people use this terminology. I have to repeat it to understand.”

In the just-released July issue of VF, Jenner introduces herself as “Caitlyn” and gives “unfettered access to [her and] her family, chronicles the tensions, traumas, and courage that shaped Caitlyn into the woman you see today”.

It is her first interview since completing her gender transformation.

Jenner’s children, along with hordes of celebrites, have all come out in support of her public debut, taking to social media to praise her VF cover.
