Pataky’s role in Interceptor sees her playing the tough Captain JJ Collins, who finds herself in charge of a lone nuclear missile interceptor base in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, after being wrongfully drummed out of her dream job at the US Pentagon.

During an interview on The Project this week, Pataky jokingly accused Marvel star Hemsworth of being “bossy” when giving her advice on her fight scenes.

“He was so bossy!“ she told the panel on Tuesday night.

“He was just telling me, like, ‘This is the right angle when you punch.’ He was just showing me how to do it, what is the right position you have to have.

“He has been doing it for a long time. It was great having him. He was supporting me from the beginning, from when he first read the script. He said, ‘You have to do this. It’s going to be fun – you will enjoy it. I know how much you like this kind of movie.’”

Pataky also opened up to news.com.au recently about the gruelling training she went through in order to play the role, admitting “lots and lots” of work went into it.

“I love challenges and I wanted to challenge myself,” she said.

“We started [training] like four or five months before I started shooting, working out really hard, like military training, weights … full-on training for a couple of hours a day. And then you know, you have to have a strict diet just to create muscle.”

Interceptor will be available to stream on Netflix from June 3.
