CATE Blanchett has given her new adopted daughter a very classic name.
She and her husband, Andrew Upton, confirmed on Friday that they had welcomed a new addition to the family.
And now a spokesperson for the couple has confirmed her name, Edith Vivian Patricia Upton.
It was initially reported that she was named Vivienne, the same name as one of Angelina and Brad Pitt’s daughters.
Blanchett already has three children with Upton - all boys. Dashiell, 13, Roman, 10, and Ignatius, six.
The 45-year-old flew home to Sydney from the US with her new bundle of joy on Wednesday last week.
An onlooker who reportedly saw Blanchett with baby Edith at Sydney airport last week said the child looked like she was only a couple of weeks old.

“I think the baby would be less than six weeks,” she said. “I’ve had three - so my guess is about right.”
Blanchett, 45, and playwright-director Upton, 49, wed in December 1997.
