NOTORIOUSLY private Hollywood couple Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz have given us a rare insight into their private life.

BENJI Madden and Cameron Diaz have mostly kept their relationship under wraps, but the Good Charlotte rocker broke course and gave fans a peek into their lives on his wife’s 45th birthday.

Madden took to Instagram to wish Diaz a happy birthday, as well as publicly declare his undying love for her.

“Happy Birthday to my Beautiful Wife. I feel like I am the LUCKIEST guy ALIVE. I don’t think anyone could ever know the Depth, Kindness, and Compassion that I get to experience everyday thanks to My One and Only- You got me til the end baby,” he captioned the photo of them bundled up on a speedboat.

While Madden, 38, and Diaz live a very private life together, he’s no stranger to expressing his love for her in big ways. About a month after they were married in a quiet ceremony, Madden had Diaz’s name tattooed across his chest.

The couple tied the knot in January 2015, just eight months after they started dating.

Last year, Diaz described her relationship as a “double-edged sword” during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres.

“I do think that marriage, when you can grow with someone, it’s very important,” she said on the show.

“Someone asked me, ‘What’s your favourite thing about being married?’ and I said, ‘I just learned so much about myself. I didn’t know these things. I would have never known them if I didn’t have my husband to help me.’” She admitted the revelation was always a good thing.

“They said, ‘What’s the worst thing about being married?’” Diaz continued.

“’Well, I learned all these things about myself that I wish I didn’t know. And I wouldn’t have learned them if I didn’t get married.’ “So it is like this double-edged-sword. But I am so grateful for it.”
