Matty J and Laura Byrne, who met on The Bachelor, have welcomed a baby girl and revealed the inspiration for her pretty name.
Engaged Bachelor stars Matty J and Laura Byrne have welcomed their first child into the world.
The celebrity couple announced the arrival of their daughter named Marlie-Mae Rose Johnson on Instagram tonight to the delight of fans.
Laura revealed her little bundle of joy was born yesterday and was “more than we could ever hope for”.
“Welcome to the world you divine little slice of human pudding,” the jewellery designer wrote.
“Marlie-Mae Rose Johnson (named after our Nana’s) you’re more than we could have ever hoped for,” adding a love heart emoji and her newborn’s birthdate.

Laura shared a number of happy snaps all cuddled up with her new bub.
In one photo proud dad Matty is standing behind Laura with his eyes glued to his newborn.
In a separate post on his Instagram page, Matty shared a photo of Laura embracing Marlie-Mae Rose and a close up photo of his new girl.
“Still letting the last 24hrs sink in … they’ve been the most rewarding, loving and emotional I’ve ever experienced,” Matty wrote.
He added: “Laura, you did the most incredible job bringing our little girl Marlie-Mae Rose Johnson into the world. Becoming a Dad was better than I ever could have imagined.”
Bachelor star Alex Nation was among the first to post a message of congratulations.
“Omg! Congrats you two. Marlie-Mae is perfect,” Alex wrote beside a love heart emoji.
Model Laura Dundovic added: “Congrats,” next to love hearts.
TV presenter and model Nikki Phillips wrote: “Congratulations huni. Marlie-Mae (is a) beautiful name. She’s prefect.”
The couple, who met on the dating show in 2017, confirmed they were pregnant in December last year.
At the same time they also revealed they had a suffered a devastating miscarriage earlier in 2018.
Laura miscarried at seven weeks in June but fell pregnant again just weeks after the tragedy, taking the couple by surprise.
In April, Johnson popped the question to Byrne while the parents-to-be were on holiday in Fiji.
