His onscreen love may be Barbie, but Ryan Gosling kept his real-life partner Eva Mendes close to his heart at the film’s world premiere in LA.

As the actor – who plays Ken in the movie opposite Margot Robbie in the titular role – walked the pink carpet at LA’s Shrine Auditorium yesterday, and he gave Mendes a subtle shoutout in the form of a monogrammed pendant.

Written in the Barbie’s signature font, Gosling sported a pink “E” initial necklace which matched his pink Gucci suit perfectly.

The 42-year-old also had nice things to say about his partner of 12 years and her continuous support of the film.

“It means everything. It means everything,” he told Access Hollywood at the event.

In recent months, Mendes, 49, has been cheering Gosling on from the sidelines as he promotes the film.

When a new pic of him as Ken was released last month, Mendes gave her stamp of approval.

“So. F. Funny. So. F. Good. So F excited for you to see this …” she wrote as she shared the photo on Instagram, adding the hashtag “#Thatsmyken”.

Then in May, the 2 Fast 2 Furious actress posted a photo of herself wearing a Ken doll T-shirt with the caption, “Got that real big Kenergy. Coz girls is players too.”

Mendes has also praised her longtime partner in a separate post about their film The Place Beyond the Pines, where they met and fell in love back in 2011.

“Mi Hombre. Mi Vida … To say he’s the greatest actor I’ve ever worked with is an understatement,” she gushed in the caption.

The couple – who share two daughters: Esmeralda, 8, and Amada, 7 – have been notoriously private about their personal lives since they started dating.

The only time they’ve walked the red carpet together was at the 2012 premiere of The Place Beyond the Pines.

When a fan recently commented that they hoped the pair would attend the Barbie world premiere together, Mendes was honest and said they would not.

“What a cool comment, thank you. But we don’t do those things together,” she replied.

“Like, these photos I’ve been posting, I’m only comfortable posting because it’s already out there.”
