Twist after Meghan Trainor’s bizarre toilet confession

Meghan Trainor has given an unexpected update after leaving fans stunned by her very unusual bathroom set up with her famous husband.

Maybe she needs a potty Trainor.

Meghan Trainor revealed she and her husband, Daryl Sabara, are updating their new home to feature a bathroom with adjacent toilets so they can relieve themselves “knees to knees.”

“We’re moving into a new house, and it has a toilet facing this way, and a bidet across from it,” the All About That Bass singer shared in Monday’s episode of theArmchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast.

Trainor continued, “It’s gonna be a little different, but it’s a tighter bathroom area, so we will be close. Knees to knees. And that’s better. I want to see him.”

The pop star, 30, and Sabara, 32, purchased a $17 million home in Los Angeles in May, reports Page Six.

Trainor, who previously shared that she and the Spy Kids star had duelling toilets in their last house, also slammed those who criticised her for the unusual bathroom layout.

“I got destroyed for this,” she recalled. “Those people were like, ‘Imagine thinking this was normal?’ I was like, ‘Sorry you don’t know what love is. Get over it.’”

The singer also clarified that she and Sabara do not go number two in front of each other when using the bathroom in tandem.

“I don’t like him pooping next to me,” she said. “I tell him that. I go, ‘You know, we’re not supposed to do that.’ We just pee. We’re not s**tting.’ You guys assumed poop, didn’t you?”

Trainor initially came up with the double toilet idea because she and the actor were both constantly peeing in the middle of the night when they were up taking care of their two sons: Riley, 3, and Barry, 1.

“Here’s why we did it: because we have young babies, so we’re getting up every hour on the hour, and this dude pees like a girl,” she said. “So I was like, ‘Get out of my way. I have to piss.’”

The Grammy winner even shared that when Sabara had to use the toilet while she was in the middle of going, she would lift her legs and tell him to “go in.”

“And he’s like, ‘No, I’m not doing that,’” she said, joking, “There’s a shower. Figure it out.”

Due to all of the toilet turbulence, Trainor realised that the only solution would be to install two toilets in the same bathroom.

“So then I solved this crime, and I was like, ‘We’re going to pee at the same time in our own bowls,’” she said, calling the solution “practicality.”

The Lips Are Movin’ singer first admitted that she and the former child star had their toilets installed side-by-side in October 2021 when they lived in their previous home in Encino, California.

Days later, Trainor admitted that she and Sabara had, indeed, pooped together before.

“To clear things up … we pooped ONCE together and we laughed and said never again,” she wrote on X in October 2021. “But he will hang out with me if I’m [pooping] cuz WE SOULMATES. And I legit miss him when I’m away from him.”

The former The Voice UK judge and Sabara married on her birthday in December 2018.
