‘Ruthless’ Prince Harry has Royals on edge over UK visit

Prince William and Kate are holding their breath over Prince Harry’s next move after he trashed their “lack of support” during latest Netflix series.

Prince William and Catherine are “nervous” over Prince Harry’s likely plans to promote the Heart of Invictus during his surprise return to the United Kingdom.

Already “irritated” at the Duke of Sussex giving a speech on the eve of the Queen’s death commemorations, the House of Wales is now increasingly concerned about more “outbursts” following the release of the new Netflix series.

With the documentary a make-or-break release, friends of the Prince William and Kate say they’re “nervous” Prince Harry will be up to his old tricks in trashing the royal family again to up the ratings.

“Harry is going to want people to watch the show. Of course that makes them nervous because William has seen how ruthless Harry has been about betraying his family to promote his projects so far,” the friend said.

“They just won’t want the dignity of the day to be overshadowed by another outburst,” they added to The Daily Beast.

Prince William and Kare are also bracing for a new round of media interviews to promote the show in the days leading up to the Invictus Games, which begin in Germany on Saturday, September 9 (local time).

Prince Harry, 38, will travel to London to address the WellChild Awards before continuing to Dusseldorf, where he will meet his wife Meghan Markle for a portion of the games.

It comes after a Sussex source said they would find their own way “to mark the significance” of the Queen’s death if they weren’t included in the plans of King Charles III.

Prince Harry and Ms Markle were not on the guest list of a family reunion at Balmoral Castle for all senior royal family members, even Prince Andrew.

He is not expected to see the King during his return to London the night before, which the UK’s Telegraph reported would require permission from Buckingham Palace accommodation after being evicted from Frogmore Cottage.

While ostensibly in London to support the charity, the House of Wales believe the timing of the speech makes it unlikely Prince Harry won’t pay tribute to his late grandmother.

It would get the jump on plans by Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, who had been confirmed to make a public appearance on the anniversary of the Queen’s death.

Friends of the King, meanwhile, sought to downplay Prince Harry’s perceived digs during the Netflix series, saying Charles was “incredibly proud of Harry” for establishing the Invictus Games.

“The idea that Harry has used the series to attack Charles is a total exaggeration; he hasn’t,” the Buckingham Palace insider told the Beast, waiving away Prince Harry’s claims he had no support network after the death of his mother, Princess Diana.

“It’s a fleeting remark in five hours of TV which has been blown out of all proportion by the media. I think after what Charles has been through in the last fifty years, he’ll be able to handle it.”

In the five-part series, which focuses on the recovery of wounded war veterans, Prince Harry said his family’s lack of support after the death of Princess Diana left him with PTSD, while their absence after returning from Afghanistan left him curled up in the “foetal position”.

“The trigger to me was actually returning from Afghanistan, but the stuff that was coming up was from … 1997 from the age of 12,” Prince Harry said, referencing his mother’s death.

“The biggest struggle for me is that no one around me could really help.”

While not mentioned by name, it was taken as an implication that Prince Harry’s father, King Charles III, and brother, Prince William, abandoned him when he needed them most.

“I didn’t have that support structure, that network, or that expert advice to identify what was actually going on with me,” Prince Harry added.
