The Princess of Wales reached another style pinnacle in a beautiful red Alexander McQueen dress with matching headpiece at Royal Ascot on Friday.
The Prince and Princess of Wales stepped out to the races for the first time this season with Catherine leading the Royal procession in Berkshire.
The mum-of-three, who also wore an Alexander McQueen design to wed Prince William in 2011, was the picture of elegance and effortless style as the couple joined King Charles and Queen Camilla who have attended the event everyday.
Also taking part in the royal procession were William’s cousin Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Duchess of Edinburgh Sophie who enjoyed the day with Kate.
Royal Ascot was a favourite event on the royal calendar for the late Queen who enjoyed cheering more than 20 winners cross the racecourse finish line.
Her race horses and stables passed on to King Charles and Queen Camilla upon her death in September 2022.
At the time, royal commentators were unsure whether Charles would take to the sport as enthusiastically as his mother.
But if the reactions of the King and Queen over the past four days of the racing event are anything to go by, the new monarch and his Queen are hooked.
As many as 60,000 racegoers are expected to descend on Royal Ascot in varying modes of transport including approximately 400 helicopters and 1000 limousines each day.
On Thursday, an emotional King Charles was seen tearing up in the Royal Box when a horse he inherited from his late mother - Desert Hero - took the £50,000 (A$95,000) King George V Stakes.
A highly animated King and Queen were seen cheering the 18-1 longshot across the finish line.
