King Charles happy and at ease with Prince Andrew joining family for Easter service

King Charles looked at ease as he arrived with Prince Andrew and the rest of the royal family – minus the Sussexes. See the photos.

King Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort, looked completely at ease and happy as they led the royal family – including Prince Andrew and minus the Sussexes – to the Easter Mattins Service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, on Sunday.

Prince Andrew, who was forced to step down from Royal duties following his alleged involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, was not looking as relaxed as his eldest brother.

But his inclusion in the family event suggests he may continue to make more appearances in public, although not in an official capacity.

With the Duke and Duchess of Sussex now established in the United States, their home in England – Frogmore Cottage – has been granted by King Charles to Prince Andrew as his new residence.

As the royal procession continued, the Princess of Wales stunned in a recycled Catherine Walker dress as she led Prince Louis to his first outing at the traditional Easter service.

Kate and Prince Louis, who looked adorable in a navy blue suit jacket, tie and light blue shorts, walked hand-in-hand behind Prince William who held the hand of Princess Charlotte, who wore a navy dress with blue tights.

Prince William wore a classic dark blue suit and pink tie, and also clad in navy was nine-year-old Prince George.

The royal family made a strong showing for the first Easter Service since the Queen died.

Other royals to turn out at that traditional morning service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor included Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and their eldest son, James, a heavily pregnant Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, Princess Beatrice and her husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi, and Mike and Zara Tindall with their two eldest children, Mia and Lena.

It was no doubt a bittersweet gathering – the chapel is the late Queen’s final resting place. She is buried in the church’s King George VI Memorial Chapel, alongside Prince Philip, and her late parents George VI and the Queen Mother.

April 9 marks the second anniversary of the death of the late Queen’s husband, Prince Philip, and also the 18th wedding anniversary of the King and Camilla.

After the service the family was expected to gather at Windsor Castle.

The gathering comes less than a month out from the King’s official coronation at Westminster Abbey.

Prince Harry and Meghan have still not formally confirmed whether they plan to attend the coronation, seen by many royal experts as one of Harry’s last opportunities to make peace with his family.
