A new report carried out by Princess Catherine’s early childhood initiative is calling on businesses to introduce more family-friendly working practices.

As the Princess of Wales continues her recovery after cancer treatment, her centre announced the results of a study that found prioritising early childhood initiatives makes for a happier workforce and cold boost national growth in the UK by $A86 billion.

Princess Catherine is said to be “buoyed” and “proud” to reveal the results of the work driven by her Royal Foundation Business Taskforce on early childhood initiatives in the workplace, community and society.

A royal source said: “She is recovering well, she is buoyed and excited by this study, it’s been a big focus of hers.”

It came as King Charles was left in hysterics after children at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show gave him the nickname ‘King of the Compost’.

The schoolchildren gave the King a badge with his new nickname in honour of his environmental work, while Queen Camilla got a ‘Queen of the Bees’ version.

The royals were being shown the No Adults Allowed Garden, designed by Harry Holding and children from Sulivan Primary School in London.

The garden is the first in the history of the show to be designed by children.

The monarch, an avid gardener, greeted growers and designers at the annual event, which is held in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

Princess Catherine, who is receiving cancer treatment, is a huge fan of the event but did not attend this year.

On Friday, the Princess of Wales shared an update on a “special” project she’s involved in, posting a trailer to the Kensington Royal social media account.

The trailer was for a short film which highlights the mental health challenges faced by British farmers.

“This #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek we’ve brought together the inspirational Sam Stables from We Are Farming Minds and the brilliant Farmer Will for a very special film,” the royal couple posted on X, and on their Instagram account.

The film was produced under the guidance of Princess Catherine and Prince William and constitutes the first major update on a project since the Princess of Wales announced she had been diagnosed with cancer.

Royal commentator Angela Levin said it is hoped that this project’s announcement “marks the beginning” of the Princess returning to royal duties.
