Prince Harry is searching for a property in London in order to avoid having to check in to hotels during his visits to the UK, it has been claimed.

The Duke of Sussex and wife Meghan Markle have not had a permanent UK base since their eviction from Frogmore Cottage in June 2023.

Royal expert Tom Quinn told The Mirror the royal is “sad” that he no longer has a British address to his name.

“As time goes by, Harry misses some aspects of his old life in the UK,” Mr Quinn said.

“Inevitably, the honeymoon period where everything in the States is new and exciting is coming to an end and Harry is looking back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles.”

Mr Quinn said Prince Harry misses his schoolmates and army friends, “many of whom have not visited as they don’t get on with Meghan.”

“Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he’s continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security,” he said.

PRINCE LOUIS OFFERS ADVICE TO ENGLAND’S FOOTY PLAYERS

The Prince of Wales has passed on Prince Louis’s top tip for trophy success in the Euro 2024 tournament telling the England men’s football squad to “eat twice as much as you normally would”.

Prince William, who is president of the Football Association, wished the 26-strong team luck in a rousing send-off ahead of them travelling to Germany this week.

Pausing as he gave players his top tip for trophy success, William told players at

St George’s Park, the national training ground in Burton-upon-Trent, in the West Midlands, that Louis had told him on the school run they should “eat twice as much as you normally would”.

Manager Gareth Southgate told William how the squad has been training for the tournament, which begins on Friday, ahead of their Group C opener against Serbia on Sunday.

“I was thinking on the way here what would I say today,” William told the players, adding, “and what could I offer to all of you and what could I say that could help?”

“I was on the school run this morning with the children and said ‘what should I say to the England team when I see them today?’

“The best bit advice I got was to eat twice the amount you normally eat.

“So I’m now having visions of all of you running around with massive tummies and loads of stitches on the pitch. So I think maybe take my youngest’s advice with a pinch of salt.”

To mark the team’s send-off, schools from across the Midlands were invited to the training ground to attend a festival of football, playing friendly fixtures against each other.

The Prince is a fervent football fan and is well respected and liked by players.

Last month, he took his elder son, Prince George, to Wembley to watch Manchester United take on Manchester City in the FA Cup final before they presented the cup and medals to the winners.
